1:59 pm - Lunch at Giligan's at Robinson's Galeria- good food lousy service
|
|

sooooo it was nearing petsa de peligro, you know the one, the one you're getting closer and closer to the date before there's not much in your wallet but enough to get you home a couple or a day before that seemingly long awaited pay day.
so it was quite a stretch that on our budget that we eat here.
the sizzling seafood platter. it's pretty ok, i just didn't appreciate the fact that there was too much bell peppers. even on pizza i remove that. i feel it's a meat extender and there's not much taste it cancels out or improves in dishes. so bleh.
AYUN OH. wow. i love this beef kare-kare. sure it looks like it's lily's peanut butter soup but the taste was just right in its nutty flavor and sweetness. and the beef was uber tender! the veggies were crunchy and fresh.
ang order ni at-eh Marge. their version of the roast beef sandwich.
the experience: this restaurant is one of the newer restaurants on the new veranda of Robinson's Galeria, so the place is still new and still easy to maintain i.e. it's still fresh and clean. we got there about half past 11am so we were only the 2nd group of people to enter the place for lunch. in short konti pa lang ang mga tao. so we ordered. and since we work in a call center our time is always a certain period only and we get penalized if we go over said lunch/break periods. we asked the waiter, R, sir, ilang minuto serving time? [how long is your serving time] watdapak only is the reply: ah ma'am konti palang naman kayo, sandali lang yan. [since there are currently few patrons then serving time is minimal]. if i my eye brow could reach my hairline it would. so after 15mins we asked again, and got nearly the same reply. ma'am sandali na lang...won't be long now waiter R replied. so the peanut sauce based viand arrived and so did the sizzling seafood dish and the rice. hmmmm i guess the sandwich takes that long to prepare. we were asking for luke warm water for one of our ofc mates, but all the glasses we got had ice in it. so i followed up and asked for luke warm water, and got a blank stare fr waitress C. so let's repeat it again for another time, anew. maligamgam na tubig plesss. ok gets na BUT HOWEVER, THERE'S MORE aba aba inirapan ako ng waitress, ganon ha. fine ako na mali, i cannot english anymore ika nga ni Bernbern! soooo the luke warm water arrives and so does my sandwich. half way through my sandwich, anak ng...it was cold. yep a cold roast beef sandwich well the very middle of it was. so hmmmm i asked for a waitress. waitress L. she walks up to me, ang sabi ko calmly miss malamig pa po. [miss it's still cold]. and all i got was a blank stare. twice i said it, too! so my ofc mate saves the day and said. miss paki painit po. [kindly heat up the order pls] homayghad, i don't think i was speaking in tongues naman. i was speaking in Tagalog, my first language, the main language spoken in Manila for frak's sake. look the sandwich was actually ok, but obviously i prefer it warm like it's just been cooked and not like it was popped in the micro for only about 2minutes. hay. and lookee here, i love the food, nothing wrong with the food or the prices, the ambiance, the cleanliness, i don't even have a complaint that they don't have their own wifi like hyphy's [my phone's not been liking the robinsonsmalls and tennants lately -the wifi available at the mall in this resto] but omg. from asking the serving time, to the maligamgam na tubig to my half cold sandwich. this branch is not for me.
next!

11:02 am - Food Tripping: HYPHY'S at the Robinson's Galeria Veranda
|
|

Located at the sorta new veranda area of robinson's galeria, where we seem to usually go now on a friday night while waiting for the traffic to die down.
this is the row of restaurants where you find johnny rocket's, papa john's and that not so delicious, delicious kitchen by eat well. so further down the veranda, you find a pricey Thai resto and starbucks at the end and this place.
this is their grilled chicken fillet,
looks good, smells good, tastes pretty ok, but the serving or portion is too small for a hungry guy like theBenj.
my order, pasta con tuyo. fine, anchovies LOL. spicy
it's about 250-300 per person here. AND MY PHONE LIKES THE WIFI HERE. yeah, anyone on my fb or twitter would know, my phone is not young anymore and is really really fussy what wifi it latches on to. so on the wifi and this super yummy. the grilled chicken fillet is something you can skip unless you have a pea sized stomach or had mirienda around 5pm and will eat again around 630 LMAO exag? :P
this place is a fusion resto, Pinoy fusion at that. as if Pinoy food isn't a fusion in itself already so if you're into that, this place is worth a try. the prices are ok naman and my order was fun and really tasty. even theBenj dove into my pasta after he finished off his food in like 3minutes LOL. plus i like the ambiance. the people are low key and QUIET! i'd come back here with my phone handy and or a book ;-) awww dang i'm missing this pasta dish tuloy :P

1:23 pm - REVIEW: Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Sheer Glowing Skin
|
|

Phew! I'm back after what felt like foooorevah. super toxic at work, i just merely hope it was worth the aggravation. and hmmmm the 14 hour a day work days? yeah baby that's more than half a day for the last few days of our version of a fiscal quarter. woah i missed blogging! yeah yeah it's only been a few days since my last post, but, it sure felt like a very long time to me LOL. and see, the finished pic i used below was taken last week pa, when i reviewed a my tony moly cheek stain. yep this is the base/foundation/sun block i used that day and the succeeding days that followed til i finished off this lovely tube. look at it! it's super cute and you can twine it to your phone! bwahaha, ah these people, don't they just think up of the cutest things? question: just how many bb creams does at-eh marge go through? clearly, plenteeeeee! hehehe
see, it's sealed with the awesome goodness...can you already tell this is gonna be a great review of this product?
ingredient list. Look ma! [and at-eh!] it's in english ;-)
looks like an ordinary foundation. on the watery side but still creamy thick enough to say that it's still a bb cream.
blends right in, hmmm since it was a sample give away, i can't say if it's shade 2 ooops it does say it's number 2 in the card product insert thingy! LOL. homaygahd lamang, my t-shirt is the same color as the wall, but howelkeribelz.
yeshH, tayo'y uminom ng suka sa umaga :P a shot of this applied on my skin and blended out, no flash
with flash, hmmmm slightly reflective since my face is now fairer than my neck. never thought that would happen evaaah except maybe with the face shop's hydrosplash bb cream. maybe this is what they meant by glowing? LOL but, seriously, there are no sparklies in this bb cream.
it's this pic again, LOL, yep, looks great without the flash,
and with the flash, still looks quite fair on me after i've set it with my revlon colorstay mineral aqua. but i guess(?) i can pull it off. this bb cream lasted on my face ha. and i only blotted off the oilies about 2x a day. since my foundation routine now consists of a bb cream and my revlon colorstay mineral aqua, i hardly need any touch ups, all i do is blot the oils away ;-) there was too little of the sample product to know if i can become even more fair since it has whitening properties and therefore i can't write about its anti wrinkle effectiveness either. but here are my few points on this product: Likes:
- i like this way better than their total age repair wrinkle reduce royal bb cream
- the scent, it's like lavenderey [bwahahaha well the product insert does say lavender] kinda baby powder scent unlike the total age repair that smelled like rubber.
- very smooth and creamy to apply and easy to blend
- lasts all day
- i think this is the one for oily skin, since it has a matte finish at least on me it does, so i like the matte finish, it isn't too matte but sorry folks not glowy which for is a plus LOL
- the price for a big tube with pump it's less than PhP700 for 60g!
- for my sample size hehehe i like the phone charm dongle - stretchy thingy
- it has an spf of 30 and pa of ++
- no break outs ;-) no millia, no other funky stuff :P
Dislikes: - it would difficult to use this bb cream in occasions where flash photography will be used =(
Do i recommend this? : yep, it's not too pricey, but has the usual promises of bb creams, the foundation, the base, the sun block. just don't use this for santa cruzan or fiesta since digicam flashes are really harsh, it will look nice on you in real life but toshio fr the grudge will appear on your pic instead of your pretty face.
araseo?
has anyone else tried this? ang bango noh?

10:02 am - My experience last 2AM
|

truth be told, i'm not a real fan of 2am, i like a couple of their songs and that's about it. but with those two songs, got me to admire their voices and their harmony. they're not your traditional pretty kpop boys. they hardly dance either. they are balladeers. and really good ones, too. the type that do not compete with each other while belting out their notes of their songs. this performance was at eastwood mall. i hardly go there, and i wondered if the organizers thought it wise to hold their final day in such a 'not so accessible area' as east wood. but ok, wth, it's very near where i live so at least going home for me wouldn't be a hassle. i was way early, i had lunch with theBenj and headed to eastwood by a little after 1pm. their MCA Hyundai van was even in front of the cab i was in. even they were early, to account for traffic and rehearsals. the members and my purchase to get close to the vip area. oops i forgot to add the lanyard with a dangling card thingy to this last pic. over all, i'm glad i went even if my gusto or fangirling mode was not turned on to its highest setting. if you could see my vids of kim hyun joong's performance last june and rain's last september you'd know that i'm the absolute fangirl for kpop. [maybe on the first year anniversary since leader's last visit, i'd have the gusto to upload it on my youtube.] the performance by 2am was wonderful, even the two girls that were their front act had really good voices, i just didn't appreciate the cover songs. 2am will be around for a long time to come, i suspect. they are after all, the great JYP's kids. 2am is very very talented. their voices brought tears to my eye in one song. to think i'm not a ballads kind of music lover! they were here for 2days of meet and greet and the third and last day, which i caught was their live performance day. i apologize for the not so great vids. i was being knocked around, AND my mem card was on the fritz. loved it when Jokwon yelled, 'babalik kami!' do you know 2am? ciao for now, am preparing a haul vid, hopefully i get to upload it by mid week ;-) Currently listening: i was wrong by 2am

2:20 pm - REVIEW: LIOELE Brush Pen Eyeliner - Black
|
|

I first saw this on youtube being used by Fuzkittie. so duh, naturally i had to have it and try it out. the only other lioele product i have tried and actually bought a second bottle of, is their blooming pop tint, reviewed on my blog here. the Fuz swore by this that this would not smudge or smear or something to that effect that it's one of best liners for her waterline for tightlining. Her current fave though is dollywink hehehe.
so it's a liquid liner in pen form. and the brush has fine bristles.
it's a true and dark black UNTIL:
and the water test. so avoid bar brawls and getting yourself thrown water on your face while wearing this if you want to keep your eyes lined, darkly that is.
so the tip is, when lining your waterline with this, just squiggle the brush tip at the roots of your upper lashes, yeah the way Fuz does LOL may rhyme pa. tried to run my finger thru what's left of the line and what's left of the pigment didn't smudge or flake off.
eh ako na may duck face LOL. this thing did last on my waterline and upper lash line through this horrid heat. i waited in the sun, well under that tree you see for more than 30 mins, then the van that i rode DID have airconditioning it just died later in the afternoon which hmmm my test for this thing? AND NO smudging, no streaking, and no dark spot/patch of eye liner melting down or occurred around the outer corner of my eyes. the tightline didn't transfer to my lower lash line either. but hmmm, i was teary eyed at this place i was at and no streaks and no smearing. Likes: - the brush tip, it's very precise really pointed tip
- really dark black upon application
- dries pretty quickly
- didn't smudge, flake, or budge throughout the day
- no streaks, even you almost cry, so it's ok to have this on when watching, hmmm i don't know steel magnolias? oh alright, blind side naman para medyo bago :P
- not too pricey and yes, i got this thru my suki, Charmaine of kkochipida of multiply or facebook.
- easy enough to remove with my etude house eye makeup remover
- no chemical smell
- no stinging when i tightlined.
- faded with the water running over it
- not locally available but hey, the tangerine line from etude house has a liner like this, too. i'll try that soon.
Will I repurchase: it depends, if the liner i got fr etude performs the same then i won't get this again. but i like the fact that this lasted on my oily lids on a very hot and humid afternoon. Do I recommend: sure, it's good for an every day liner.

2:21 pm - REVIEW: Pure Beauty Tsubaki/Camellia Seed Oil Hair Care
|
|

this set came on my radar thanks to an email i received from sm advantage introducing the new products of pure beauty.
so for every purchase you get a 100 bonus points on your sm advantage. so all i had to do was watson's hop. i mean, there are 2 watson's in one mega b and the sm dept store in mega a. then there's a watson's at the podium and a watson's closest to me, rob gale :P or if you hate walking like me, just ask the cashier to consider each item as separate sales. muhahahaha
my hair's layers are on the outside as opposed to having the layers under your longest hair.
so when i dry my hair my stick straight hair, (yey, thanks Dad ;-)) looks as though i have spongy frizzy hair when i really don't, it's the layers pointing everywhere and my hair not liking my cheapy-cheapy hair dryer :P this hair care set actually really does make good on the tag line 'styling made easy' LOL
i've got a dying hair iron. see, it's so retro. and naturally it's green.. but hola it's a black and decker! yeah they have electric fans, too. but this iron, curler, crimper set was a leap. but hey it lasted me around 5 years now. well, sorta. it takes a bout 15mins to heat up and even longer if i want the heat to last long. but wait i got stick straight asian hair why do i wanna subject my hair to heat? simple my hair dryer dries my hair every which way possible so the layers' tips look like i've got frizzy hair, when i don't.
tada?! a not so heated hair iron, and just a swipe.
and it looks like i've a proper hair dryer to begin with. LOL. Likes: - the smell. it's so feminine citrus-kinda scent
- cleans squeaky clean
- easy to rinse off
- lasting effects of soft shiny hair, softness of the roots is almost the same as the woah, the softness of the tips of my hair.
- i don't get greasy after a day, i get greasy in about 36 hours so it's not that oily.
- makes hair styling even with my ancient hair iron easy. and once it's ironed it stays 'ironed looking'
- THE PRICE! for 200 bucks per 500ml [conditioner 500ml, shampoo is 500] then this beats shiseido's price [around 700 for almost the same content] and since i got a 100 points bonus it's like 'ma'am parang 99 na lang binayad nyo!' as the cashier happily pointed out
- doesn't weigh my hair down
- the smell doesn't last long like my favorite lush american cream conditioner [that thing lasts even after i've shampooed again! LOL]
Disclaimer: I'm not a sulfates non-fan [aka i don't give a hoot either way, so i use any hair care that will keep my roots less greasy to bring down my hair washing routine to around twice or even once a week. yep, once a week, does anyone think it's possible in such a humid environment we have? Do i recommend? sure, i'd recommend this to people with thin limp hair. i wouldn't know how this would work on people with thick sponghado / frizzy hair.

12:42 pm - The Body Shop Workshop Last April 07, 2011 at Greenbelt 4
|
|

I received a text from the body shop inviting me to attend one of their demo/work shops and what intrigued me was their launching of their own bb cream.
hero Tania was with me that day, ♥♥♥
so there were several women with me who attended and there was a make up session.
i had won a special prize for what their makeup artist deemed to be a very good night time look [the makeup artist on the left, winner of the body shop world wide makeup artistry contest]
ooooh bath stuff!
and what my sole purchase, their new bb cream which i reviewed here
i haven't purchased anything from the body shop in two years, actually, since their seaweed line broke me out which then made me look towards South Korea for really inexpensive alternatives to cosmetics. so now, naturally, it would still be a bb cream that i purchase as it was the star that night. as i have mentioned, we got a thank you for coming introductory discount so i actually only bought the bb cream for PhP500 which made it a worthwhile purchase for me. In retrospect, i think i will applaud the body shop for making this effort. if dior [as in christian dior] snow, shu uemura can make bb creams, so can the body shop, and so the body shop has. like i mentioned in my video review of the bb cream, and in written review, though it's run of the mill, it's still a fairly decent bb cream and way way as in way better than the maybelline bb cream. the body shop work shop was fun, they even fed us, nomnomnom. thank you for the invite and the opportunity. i even renewed my LYB card because of it LOL.

8:59 am - REVIEW: The Body Shop Shiso BB Cream
|
The Body Shop did not pay me to review their product. I paid for this bb cream with my own money. video review below:
So last Thurs i went to one of the demo launches of this bb cream at the body shop with Algo/hero-Tania. naturally i was intrigued as it's a bb cream and this time it's from the body shop. sorta matches the skin on my neck but i still notice a yellow undertone. photo above taken on another day with flash several hours after application also bb set with a little revlon colorstay aqua. [this is day i fell in love with the Nars Orgasm blush] mental note - don't go in there! parang horror slasher flick lang! :P I'll just present most of what i said in my video in bullet points Likes: - creamy and easy to apply
- good shade match - yellow undertone [unlike my the face shop hydrosplash bb cream which was just plain white even on my fair skin]
- not reflective - i don't end up looking like a floating white head
- can be applied with fingers and still get good results [ahem the face shop hyrdrosplash bb cream]
- has not broken me out yet
- finish - semi-dewy
- i like this better than the face shop hydrosplash bb cream just bec it applies better and has a better shade match
Dislikes: - doesn't cover my scars well
- i'm oily in about 2-3 hours compared to my expert triple blemish bb cream fr tony moly [that only have to blot the oils away 2x a shift]
- in line with this, it doesn't last too long without being set with some like mineral foundation [i used the body shop's mineral foundation on the day of the event and my own revlon colorstay aqua mineral foundation]
- the price!!! - PhP1195 for something that's only 30ml for something other bb creams promise anyway [whitening, anti wrinkle, moisturizer, sun protection, makeup base, foundation and a partridge in a pear tree]
Will I recommend: yes, to those who are interested [and have the budget] in bb creams but don't know much about asian brands and are still timid about Korean cosmetics ;-) c'mon you can do it! Will I repurchase: truth be told, i got this tineeweenee bottle at an introductory - thank you for coming - price of PhP500 but as much as it performed like any other bb cream - minus the coverage and lasting power, this is not something on my repurchase list Please comment, rate, and subscribe to my channel. 8:50 am - REVIEW: The Face Shop Hydrosplash BB Cream
|

i've had this in my stash of months now and decided, ok fine, i'll finally use this bb cream. i was warned a couple of peeps about this bb. one person said it's too light even on her another said it makes her oily. but i braved the feed back on this and tried it out myself.
there's some writing in english at the back for people who wanna know what the product is about.
how can something be a little runny yet thick at the same time? i don't know, i didn't make the thing.
wow, at-eh Marge! uminom ka ng suka?
after it sets a bit, pic below with the flash OFF
reflective even if it's only spf20! [pic below has the flash turned on]
wow, finally i found something that's more fair than my neck and chest! NOT! hehehe, it just looks 'normal' without the flash. i'm not entirely sure why i've yet mastered how to apply this particular bb cream but considering it claims to be 70% water it's easy to get cakey applying this on. i always use my fingers because i'm too lazy to clean my brushes and i find that when i use my fingers applying liquid face products i get less streaks ;-) water on water. to set my bb creams i use my revlon colorstay aqua. but but **hangs head in shame** this particular bb cream that claims to be 70% water made what little foundation i put on it look blotchy, some base this is. [part of a bb cream promise is that it's a base for your foundations]. - it has a very light scent it's hardly noticeable at all
- creamy
- the price, this one is not too expensive considering it's a product from the face shop! PhP695
- moisturizing
- have not mastered the art of applying this, ikr, i've gone through so many different bb creams already yet when i apply this one it just turns out either uneven or blotchy, still it may still be my technique
- reflective
- may only look like it has good coverage on the pix but either for pores or scars like that one slightly to the left of my nose can still be seen. pores are covered too well either.
- i get oily in about a couple of hours. hehehe i notice i have more face oil blotting films to throw out at the end of my shift when i use this.
- too dewy
haven't tried this long enough to see if it would break me out, nairita ko sa finish. i recommend this if you have uber dry skin and if you're unfortunate enough to be seated right below your a/c vent will i repurchase: nope imma gonna try their other bb creams [Flebeauté Collagenic BB Cream (PHP 995) and the Face It Radiance Splash BB Cream SPF 20 PA++ (PHP 695)]. if i can't make this hydrosplash bb cream work for me, then off to mom it goes, she has dry skin ;-) Currently listening: tonight by big bang

it's pink! i was intrigued when i saw One shot Clean.
one cotton square can clean both my eyes. thus each line is each slit of my eyes. Likes: - smells good, lightly scented
- means it when it says ONE SHOT CLEAN
- not too oily
- PhP198 for something that's lasting me for more than 2-3 mos now
- it's PINK!
do i recommend this? you know it ;-) will i repurchase? i've got another for back up already ;-)

2:01 pm - REVIEW: Missha BB Boomer
|
|

thank the gods of mount olympus i only have this as a sample. i got this at the Missha store at SM North-Annex.
so since i don't read, i didn't read what this was actually for until after i tore it open. it's merely a primer to a bb cream, so to me it's a primer to a primer LMAO.
after it's blended on the back of my hand and on my face.
so yes, ladies, i popped my zits and black heads and i have OILY to combination skin thus my pores are well shall we say HUGE. i don't have the full size product, so i can't say anything about its packaging. i only used this twice, why? read on: Likes: - the scent - omg, i'm sorry to be an ageist [
well actually i'm not sorry LOL long story especially in the last year] but this thing smells like my lola's perfume, the type that hurts your nostril and sticks in there until way after - no pearlescent effect
- with or withOUT it my bb creams last or not last on my face so no effect in short it didn't work at least on my oily to combination skin.
Can't say if it would've broken me out since i only used it twice. Do i recommend this? - neither for dry skinned [whose makeup generally last longer since they don't produce much oil to break down their make up] nor for oily skinned people like myself, no i do not recommend this.

6:59 am - My Next Shampoo and Conditioner - Pure Beauty TSUBAKI
|
|
this notice from SM Advantage came in my email yesterday. the title of the email is
Exclusive to Members: Earn 100 Bonus Points on Pure Beauty Tsubaki Camellia Products at Watsons (Now until May 31) I almost yelled in delight. but i can't actually see on the pic where it says tsubaki lol. hari nawa hindi ito joke joke joke LMAO. there are reviews on this on a lot of different blogs but the frequently reviewed brand is from Shiseido and i don't think Shiseido brings this shampoo line of theirs to Manila. a lot of the reviews i read on makeup alley are quite favorable and on average it's a 4/5. and of course Fuzkittie swears by the awesomeness tsubaki does for her hair [well at least the Shiseido one]. Pure Beauty products especially their masks and bb creams have been reviewed by the usual power of three, Nikki [that i remember most], so this brand came on my radar because of their relatively inexpensive bb creams that's actually available in our local watsons. Hopefully, this tsubaki shampoo works out well on my oily to combination really thin strand-ed hair type. and hopefully it's a tad cheaper than the shiseido tsubaki shampoo prices i see online. according to this blog entry it's a third cheaper than the shiseido tsubaki let you know by the same time next week how this worked out for me.

4:05 am - My Book Ends - SS501 Entry
|

ever since the non-renewal of the contract of kim hyun joong's, idol pop group, SS501, [meaning they can't use that name, can't perform together using that name without a new contract under their previous label] i've been wanting these dvd's. the pink one is a compilation of their performances when they first debuted. while the other is their last performance ever together as/in a concert.
these dvd's come with photobooks. and my sataima performance even came with a wallet sized picture album thingy container.
as some of my readers may know, ever since boys over flowers and the song because i'm stupid by ss501 [used on the boys over flowers soundtrack] which was used a great deal on youtube make up tutorials, i became hooked on bb creams and asian makeup which led me to become hooked on kpop and ss501. and now i have these babies. i'll be satiated for quite awhile. i miss them and await their return, hopefully this year. these dvd's are actually my 2nd orders of these items. my previous orders didn't go thru and i had to wait about 5 and half months for them to be available again. yes, they are hard to come by especially now that they are rare items [the pink one is out of print while the saitama is from japan and is limited.] i ordered and should've ordered [to begin with] from fangirl asia and yes asia for these. word of advice to anyone new to this fandom, order from legit online stores and people you know who accept credit cards [as it adds legitimacy to their enterprise]. also, in fairness to legit online stores who have been in the business for more than 3years like Princess Ng / keeping8simple, there are online sellers that will have yearSS worth of good feedback. so always always research and read reviews and feed back of the online stores you will be buying from. that's all for now ^_^ imma gonna watch my dabel s babies ^_^
Currently listening: because i'm stupid

12:55 pm - RANT: HAINANESE DELIGHTS - GOOD FOOD TERRIBLE SERVICE
|

it was lunch period and we didn't want to eat at our pantry since our concessionaire is on their way out to be replaced we're sorta afraid of the quality of food going to be served by people that got fired by our company.
and we end up here, because truth be told, the food here is very good. they serve singaporean - chinese food here.
but there were only 3 waiters and there are 15 tables. simple right? 5 tables per waiter?
we ask for something put our condiments on and we get this oil stained thing.
it was lunch time and these office types are here for good food.
and the servers were all over the place.
this place serves unlimited hainanese rice, well the limit is set by your patience when the super busy and harassed waiters and 1 waitress either understands you, remembers what you asked for or sees you at all.
the prices at this place is for your basic office person budget about PhP100-PhP130 without drink. our experience today was: - one of my office mates nearly got his pants splashed with the food of previous occupants' of the table we took over after having waited what seemed like 10mins or so for our table to be cleared to begin with
- the food arrived timely enough the funny incident is the food of our table mate arrived ahead of his spoon and fork, while we had spoons and forks but we were waiting for our food
- so eventually our food began to arrive one by one.
- but we didn't get our service water til much later, our table mate didn't even get water at all [but the dude eventually got his spoon and fork, eventually]
- it was VERY difficult to get the attention of the waiters and to get waited on. but eventually we got our extra rice. my office mate had to get up and call the attention of the cashier to get us our extra rice.
- then my office mate's water was hmmm shall we say contaminated with something clear, so my camera couldn't pick it up.
over all don't come here on a peak hour like lunch, but the food's good. they are so undermanned that the last time we were here the owner was busy running back and forth serving the food along with his waiters and waitress. thank heaven's you pay as you order otherwise you'd be waiting for your tab but get it eventually.

1:47 pm - My Daily Skin Care: Tony Moly Pore Clear
|
|

i bought this set awhile back. it's what i replaced my beloved skin food peach sake skin care routine with.
my first step after cleansing my face is this toner. the toner is the lightest toner i've tried so far. it has a clean scent, not floral, not citrus but something i can't describe. i'm running out of this so i ordered another of this toner from my suki Charmaine-kkochipida.
my step 2 is the pore clear lotion. it really is like a lotion but not as thick as hand lotions or creams. this easily spreads and but takes a tad bit before it gets absorbed.
my step 3 is the serum or in this case is their essence. this is more like a gel like substance really slick to apply. but gets absorbed quicker than the pore lotion. i use the pore lotion and essence during the day while at night i use the last product i have in the line, their pore clear.
of the creams in this line it's this pore clear i like best. it's a tad thicker than the essence but smoother. this makes me think/feel i have no pores LOL. all the creams here are very moisturizing but my oilies is controlled better by my peach sake line. Disclaimer: i keep using these pore clearing pore assisting products in the hopes of making my pores smaller. but in fact once your pores are widened either by popping zits or black heads or just by having near open pores because of having an oily skin type, nothing will close pores back to the way girls with dry skin have closed pores. nope, aint gonna happen. and my disclaimer is i know nothing will help my pores, but i keep buying these because they're also formulated for oily-combination skin so at least it's for my skin type.
Likes: - tony moly is supposed to be one of the least expensive Korean cosmetics brands, but by the way their packaging is done it looks not cheap at all
- the pore clear and essence feel so good on my skin and are very moisturizing without me looking like a grease ball
- didn't break me out
- keeps my skin supple, moisturizing effect lasts throughout the day or night
- the scent is pretty light and ok
- so moisturizing that it's easy for me to apply bb creams or foundations on my skin after absorbing the creams on my face
- still not locally available
- the packaging LOL, i like and dislike it, well the fact that it's made of glass, so i need to be careful and keep it from cats or by the time i get home i'd have broken glass on my floor.
will i repurchase? sure, i've already ordered at least the toner for now, why? it's inexpensive compared to other brands like skin food or the face shop. do i recommend? definitely if you're exploring different brands of skin care, tony moly is a brand to try and the many times i've ordered from my suki Charmaine-kkochipida her prices are fair and pretty close to the prices you actually see on the tony moly website plus a little mark up for her effort with her contacts there and her shipping. i actually bought this set in bangkok and it was a tad pricey because the place i bought it from was in mall. so in a way it's a blessing in disguise that this is only available through online ordering. has anyone else tried tony moly stuff?

2:15 pm - Product Love: KISSFULL LIP CARE No.02
|
my nightly lip savers. i had used up the one on the right the kissfull lip care in stick lip balm form so i went on to the one on the left, in the tube thingy hehehe.
picture above shows the clear gel that kinda looks like a face primer.
picture above shows my spent lip balm LOL.
thanks to these two my really chapped lips stay manageable. Likes:
- small and handy, not in a pot or tub
- applies smoothly and not waxy
- love the light peachy scent [no.2] that does not smell like old candles
- effective in keeping my lips almost crack free
- NO FUNKY GUNK in the morning or anytime. like when you apply lip balm too thickly and after a few hours later you have a white line near at the very opening of your lips? combination of lip skin, saliva and the product, ewwww.
- relatively inexpensive, sure there's carmex, nivea, but i like my etude :P
- takes a little of the product on my lips to last the whole time i sleep which around 6-7 hours.
Dislikes
- too few flavors
- the gel type one is a tad more expensive than the stick form
Will I repurchase? maybe not now, there are more etude lip care/balm types i wanna try out LOL
Do I recommend? definitely, i mean look at the packaging, it's tight and secure, the stick balm has a cover that encompasses most or at least half of the container compared to other brands, yeah i mean you burt's bee's where you have a tiny cap at the tip and sooner or later the tip/lid gets lost in your bag, and naturally what ever you're looking for is the last thing you find in your bag LMAO :P
